About Us:

Target is an iconic brand, a Fortune 50 company and one of America's leading retailers.

Right on pace with Target's distinctive retail brand, Target Store Operations is continuing to transform the way it operates. Here, your work directly supports the store mission to delivery an easy, inspiring and safe experience to our guests and team. Are you a customer service enthusiast who can actively listen to many points of view and then visualize how they'll perform when operationalized in a store? Are you happy to partner with leaders as well as field team members who are often the experts on how well a process is working? Can you creatively envision more efficient processes and how they'll deliver a better experience for guests and team members? Do you possess the innovative mindset to question the status quo, and the confidence to work under varying degrees of ambiguity and well-informed experimentation? Then you'll have success on one of our dynamic teams. A role with Process Operations means a big opportunity to leverage operational experience, process design and insights to create strategies that fuel processes like inventory replenishment, setting product, signing, pricing and backroom organization keeping stores in stock to drive guest engagement by ensuring they find what they are looking for (and more).

As a Director in Store Operations, Process Operations Planning and Design, you will build, lead, coach, and mentor a strong team of business partners and/or operations engineers who represent the store team member in ultimately making their lives easier to serve our guest. You and your team will be responsible for owning the future backroom space design strategy and criteria development to meet our guest needs. You will influence Supply Chain, Finance, Data Sciences, TTS, Merchandising and Marketing leaders in the development and deployment of strategies in order to drive positive impact for our Guest and Store teams. You will interact directly with key senior leaders across the enterprise in stores and HQ and you will focus on driving strategic alignment across the necessary teams. You will design, test and implement store operational processes to drive in stocks, safety and efficiency to better serve our guest. You will collaborate with HQ teams to ensure store strategies and operational priorities are considered in the development and implementation, communication, and training necessary for delivering enterprise strategies. You will ensure that you and your team translate and bring to life the necessary operational skills, experiences and expertise required in driving the stores strategy. You will have a strong drive to solve operational problems with data driven solutions, store insight & engineering principles to create an efficient operating process for our store teams. In your partnership with store teams, you will provide key enterprise partners with critical guest and store team member requirements. You will also ensure operational initiatives are delivered with store productivity, minimal to no guest disruption, and create an overall positive experience for team members and guests. You and your team will serve as key content partners and editors on operational focused materials to ensure stores have all of the communication necessary to efficiently set, price, sign, fill the floor and drive item availability utilizing broader Store Ops and HQ partners to execute necessary work like reporting and communication. Lastly, you will keep Supply Chain, Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, TTS, Data Sciences and/or Stores leadership informed of what stores are saying, act as an advocate for stores, and address escalated questions or concerns using your strong knowledge and understanding of how stores operate.
