Within the Talent Analytics team, the Team Member Health & Sentiment Talent Analytics team:
  • Owns Listening for Target, sharing and empowering the voice of our 350K+ team members
  • Integrates into the business as strategic HR partners, anticipating and uncovering stated or unstated needs.
  • Uses our analytics and IO Psychology expertise to test, measure, analyze, understand and answer various business questions.
  • Connects our understanding across business and HR to deliver data driven products and solutions
  • Provides meaningful insights and recommendations to enterprise senior leaders (LT, BOD), COE leaders and line-level leaders to shape strategic direction and drive meaningful impact on team engagement.


About the role:

As a Lead Consultant Talent Analytics on the Team Member Health & Sentiment team, you will leverage your IO Psychology expertise and business area knowledge in partnership with our analytics teams to deliver value to the business and our team.
  • Client partnership & consultation: In partnership with the broader Talent Analytics team, leverage consultation skills to assess business needs, help uncover the right sentiment-related question, influence and educate your client(s) using IO expertise and deep understanding of TM sentiment trends. Use your specialized skillset and innovate in support of business needs to deliver insights and recommendations on future analysis. Assess intake requests, provide input into effective prioritization, and help determine a solution path to meet client needs. Work in partnership with the rest of the Talent Analytics team to surface opportunities to develop new products or enhancements to current portfolio in service to client needs.
  • Program design & capability maturity: Lead and participate in large project/program design as owner of strategy & future roadmap for one or more TeamVoice channel(s) at Target; partner with internal and external partners, bringing multiple partners' needs and perspectives together along with IO psych principles to create recommendations, gain alignment and deliver outcomes that produce value for Target. Drive and be accountable for capability maturity of Listening program in service to HR strategy priorities. Influence the team to establish and ensure process and practices are working as intended, resolve issues with the team when process and roles are not working as they should, escalate when appropriate.
  • Research: Proactively understand and apply external research / trends around TM experience, engagement and sentiment to own work (program design and insights); share with TMHS and broader Talent Analytics team to build collective knowledge. Stay connected to the external landscape and understand employee experience, engagement and sentiment trends in the industry. Using external trends as a key input, conduct internal research leveraging data and qualitative information to uncover KPIs and organizational outcomes connected to TM Sentiment.
  • Insights: Create and present team member experience, engagement and/or sentiment insights to key stakeholders and sr. leaders within the business area(s) you support, bringing together insights, research, knowledge of the business and IO expertise. Use written and visualization best practices to prepare deliverables in a consumable and relevant way for the right audience, while ensuring that the appropriate story is being told.
  • Partner routines: Create strong relationships across broader Talent Analytics team, business partner teams, internal TMHS team, technology partners and external vendor partners. Demonstrate curiosity and empathy, and asks probing questions that help uncover stakeholder needs. Represent the Talent analytics capability to the business and HR. Expertise in HR processes and concepts, and understand the impact on analysis and recommendations.


About you:
  • Four-year degree and 4+ years of HR experience including IO Psychology background and/or experience
  • 4+ years of experience in consulting, storytelling, influencing strategic partners, change management
  • Relevant business knowledge, preferably HR or sentiment insights business area
  • Strong understanding of the application of analytical and technical approaches including self-service tools to apply while consulting
  • Strong consulting experience, communication skills, an ability to influence and experience dealing with ambiguity
  • Proven track record of leveraging data visualization techniques to tell a story with data and is a strong meeting facilitator
  • Self-directed and ability to solution with independent judgement and decision making
  • Active listener and ability to break down needs into actionable work
  • Genuine curiosity with how things work; motivated, self-starter
  • Ability to influence and present a point of view or recommendation
  • Excellent written and verbal and visual communication skills
  • Prior experience using Qualtrics preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with data visualization tools


This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Nevada residents is $81,300k to $146,000k.
