Job Details

Position Summary

The Business Development Officer is responsible for the Minnesota Masonic Charities' philanthropic endeavors for all Northern Minnesota. This will include planning and implementing a meaningful approach to building relationships and securing philanthropic support from individuals and families. The Business Development Officer works closely with the Director of Institutional Advancement as well as the President /CEO in all development and fund-raising endeavors. The position is located in Duluth, MN

Responsibilities:
  • Research and meet with prospective donors to encourage gifts through the annual fund, future giving or special events.
  • Establish meaningful, lasting relationships with donors.
  • Attend special events to further relationships with current donors as well as interact with potential donors.
  • Seek out speaking opportunities at Lodges or other Masonic gatherings to highlight planned giving and estate planning.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business preferred or equivalent experience required.
  • 5 years fund-raising experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of fundraising software
  • Excellent communication / interpersonal skills
