Our Developer Relations efforts place an emphasis on supporting grassroots growth for technology professionals by technology professionals.

As a Developer Relations Program Manager, use your skills, experience, and talents to be a part of groundbreaking thinking and visionary goals. In this role, you'll be advocating for Target's learning culture and community to an internal tech team that includes over 4,500 engineers, data scientists, architects, and product managers. You will accomplish your goals through the planning and execution of several internal events like our InnerCon internal conference, CodeRed Global Hack Day, and Tech Lunch to name a few. You will also be responsible for cultivating engagement in Slack and driving excitement through creative and marketing campaigns. You will also serve as liaison for Target Tech team members to the external technology community by building and managing relationships with local tech orgs and groups. You will be accountable for driving the strategic plan for Target's internal and external tech partnerships and you will manage a budget to support the efforts on which you focus. These efforts will include local conferences, meetup groups, open-source initiatives, hosting community events at Target, and more.

About you:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • Must be able to plan and execute all types of social and business events/gatherings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong program management organizational skills and high attention to detail with reporting and data
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Initiative to operate in a self-directed manner, sometimes with ambiguous requirements
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across team, leader, and internal partners
  • Experience in technology or supporting a technology business preferred
  • Experience in the training and development field preferred
  • Relevant project or program management experience is a plus
