Position: Software Engineer – Cloud Services
Location: Longmont, Colorado
Minimum experience: 2+ years relevant work experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science or Software Engineering
Develop and support industry-leading products that leverage innovation and technology to enhance productivity for our customers. Responsible for cloud architecture and middleware services for live robotic applications. Design, coordinate and deploy infrastructure features that enable cross-platform communication mechanisms using the latest IoT and cloud service practices. Create integrated feature management solutions in coordination with external teams and vendors.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Design, code, test, debug, document, and implement cloud middleware applications.
Build and deploy inter-platform bridging services to increase solution value and flexibility.
Architect binary distribution management solutions for embedded software products
Work directly with external solution vendors to build, manage dynamic product features: Work with outside service providers to integrate new features/solutions in customer products and services..
Collaborate with team members, customers, and management on all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
Bachelor of Computer Science degree or equivalent.
Two years of cloud service development experience.
Demonstrated experience with cloud platform services (AWS/Azure/Google).
Demonstrated experience with one or more IoT message protocols (MQTT, NATS, VerneMQ)
Experience with one or more agile software development methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban).
Experience with microservice languages such as Python, Java, or Go
Master’s degree in Computer Science
Understand publish/subscribe architectures and methodologies
Experience with build automation processes, CI/CD systems, (Jenkins, Travis, Concourse).
Experience with containerized deployment solutions like Docker and/or Kubernetes.
Experience in building serverless cloud computing solutions
