PROVIDER FIELD REPRESENTATIVE

Work Location: Hybrid (in the office 3 or more days per week)

The health and safety of our employees, members, providers, and our community is our highest priority. Position Description

This position is responsible to build and maintain positive working relationships with participating UCare providers through training and education. Routinely interact with provider office administrators, clinical and billing staff via face-to-face or virtual visits, phone, and email correspondence. Serve as a liaison between providers and internal departments within UCare. This role requires reliable transportation and up to 50% travel.

• Maintain effective business relationships through routine face-to-face, WebEx, phone and email communication with participating providers, including care systems, primary care providers, hospitals, counties and others as assigned.

• Resolve, track and report issues providers encounter. Document issues and their current status.Coordinate timely resolution to issues with internal staff. Escalate key issues or concerns when necessary. Communicate solutions to providers within appropriate time frames.

• Maintain communication with assigned network providers regarding critical business information they need to successful serve UCare members.

• Share insights and trends from daily work with providers with internal UCare staff to improve processes, policies and communications that impact the provider experience.

• Ensure that assigned providers maintain a solid working knowledge of all UCare products, procedures and guidelines.

• Collaborate with UCare departments to support their educational and messaging needs to our provider network. i.e. quality initiatives, health promotions, NCQA.

• Complete provider facility/environmental site surveys as needed for Credentialing, member complaints regarding clinic sites, and new primary care clinics.

• Serve as liaison with assigned provider network to support internal business needs such as provider data validation, provider credentialing, complaints, appeals and grievances, product, and secret shopper.

• Identify network limitations and make recommendations as appropriate.

• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in health care management or related field; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

Five years of experience in a health care delivery setting. Examples include physician group practice, health insurance, and HMO or community service agency.

Preferred Experience

Provider Relations experience.
