About Us:

Target is an iconic brand, a Fortune 50 company and one of America's leading retailers.

Target Global Supply Chain and Logistics is evolving at an incredible pace. We are constantly reimagining how we get the right product to the right guest even better, faster and more cost effectively than before. We are becoming more intelligent, automated, and algorithmic in our decision-making, so that no matter how guests shop-in stores or on Target.com-we deliver the convenience and immediate gratification they demand and deserve. We are on a mission to win decisively over any competitor, with a seamless and superior guest service experience unlike any they can offer. Our teams work with the agility our mission requires, and we constantly come together to implement new processes in record time. So we're looking for exceptional people who are proactive, creative, independent, innovative, risk-savvy and comfortable working in varying degrees of ambiguity. Are you a critical thinker who seeks the root cause and can analyze both qualitatively and quantitatively? Are you a creative problem-solver who simplifies problems, quickly identifies solutions, commits to a plan and then positively influences others to execute it? If so, you will have success on one of our dynamic teams.

A role in Indirect and Reverse Supply Chain means managing the inbound throughput and placement of the indirect materials that are required to operate all Target stores and distribution centers along with the management and logistics for operations for the reverse flow of goods and guest mail returns to Return Centers. Work includes supporting new and existing operations, warehousing processes, 3PL management, sourcing and mail return capabilities.

As a Lead Logistics Business Partner, you will partner with supply chain leaders and connect the run state operations to our future strategy and node activations. In addition, you will be a key leader in Target's Mail-in Return capabilities, ensuring that our Reverse Operations enable a great guest experience. This role will be critical to the success of Target's future reverse operations as you drive the alignment and support the development of the Reverse Network. In addition, you will:
  • Enable visibility and alignment as teams have ability to see how their work fits in to broader strategy
  • Provide input into GSCL and operational planning to support coordination with supply chain, stores, and digital teams
  • Support contract planning and SOW creation for new reverse node activations
  • Align current state operations teams and future state planning teams by bridging activation plans/strategies and ramp up/down plans
  • Manage and support business operations and processes through cross-functional planning with internal and external (3PL) partners
  • Partner closely with Reverse field teams to create operational plans and strategies to enable success in new nodes
  • Core responsibilities of this job are described within this job description. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

About you:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years' experience in similar field.
  • Strong strategic, financial, and analytical skills; can easily translate data from an array of sources into insights and recommendations
  • Strong collaboration skills to partner with cross-functional teams
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with strong initiative and willingness to take risks
  • Good reasoning, conflict-management, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Flexible, resilient, and comfortable in 'grey areas' that are constantly changing
  • Experience developing or launching new business capabilities and/or experience in strategy development or consulting
  • Ability to think in terms of the future state, challenging the status quo, and identifying paths from current to future statue
