St. Catherine University invites applications for an Administrative Assistant to serve in both the Doctor of Physical Therapy ( DPT ) and Physical Therapist Assistant ( PTA ) Programs. This position is full-time during the school year and part-time during the summer.

We are one of the few universities in the country who have both a DPT and a PTA program offering associate, bachelors and doctoral level degrees! Join our team as we work collaboratively, partnering between programs to give students opportunities to practice critical and creative thinking through clinical experiences and service learning activities. You will support faculty efforts to infuse the values of social justice and leadership into our curriculum.

The Administrative Assistant handles all general office tasks for the department and, in addition, develops and manages database information, creates and conducts surveys, supports the clinical education portion of the curriculum, edits the program webpage and oversees special events.

  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for the department, demonstrating respect and professionalism to visitors and all who seek information or assistance.
  • Collaborate with another administrative assistant to cover the needs of the front-office space.
  • Prioritize a variety of time sensitive tasks from multiple faculty, ensuring that work is completed on time and in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Coordinate event logistics for recurring department ceremonies and events including scheduling classroom and meeting spaces.
  • Work closely with the Directors and Assistant Directors of Clinical Education on the administrative aspects of clinical education including oversight of the clinical database and serving as a liaison to the clinical partners.
  • Complete a wide array of general office tasks including ordering office supplies, attending program meetings, recording and distributing minutes, providing technology support to faculty members and consulting IT support for more challenging issues.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years of experience in an administrative support role.
  • Experience entering data into data management systems
  • Experience collaborating closely with colleagues to share work and accomplish goals
  • Experience independently setting timelines to complete work
  • Proficiency with the Google and Microsoft Office suite of products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in higher education or health care.
  • Experience conducting electronic surveys and managing websites.
