A role in Global Inventory Management means applying your specialized and well-informed point of view to what we buy, from whom, how much and where it needs to go from there. You'll use the right combination of data and expertise to achieve the best possible product availability through proper inventory positioning. You'll also focus on the efficient transportation of product around the world, while ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and achieving the best possible product availability through proper inventory positioning. You'll not only establish and develop great relationships with our vendors to encourage on-time shipment and delivery to stores and ultimately guests, but you'll also analyze transportation supplier capabilities and contracts for maximum speed, reliability and cost effectiveness.

As a Sr. Manager Supplier Performance Management, you will drive projects and processes that elevate Supplier Performance on key operational measurements such as On-Time Ship, On-Time Arrival, and Fill Rate through development of strong internal and external partnerships. You will leverage performance data and analytical capabilities coupled with cross-functional collaboration to identify trends, uncover root causes, and initiate action plans that improve supplier execution. As Target transforms its supply chain, you will have the opportunity to develop new routines and joint capabilities with top suppliers that enable faster and more accurate order fulfillment that ultimately lead to improved Guest experiences. You will lead data-driven analysis and continuous improvement activities with Target's largest merchandise supplier partners. You will partner with Inventory Management leadership to define supplier performance priorities and drive progress against these objective. You will provide education, analytical, and project management support to Suppliers, Inventory Management and Supply Chain teams in order to achieve joint operational outcomes.

About you:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-8 years' experience in Inventory Management, Retail Supply Chain, or related field
  • Capability building comprehensive data driven solutions to problems
  • Proven results in project management and leading cross functional projects
  • Ability to initiate and grow relationships with internal and external leadership teams
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills- including facilitating meetings, giving presentations and engaging with vendors
  • Experience with SQL or other data-mining capabilities and statistical analysis
  • Available to travel 10% of the time
