DIGITAL ENGINEER – CLOUD AND INTEGRATION PLATFORM

Best Buy Co. has an opening in Richfield, Minnesota on its Cloud & Integration Platform team for the position of Digital Engineer – Cloud and Integration Platform. Work closely with the engineering and product managers in a highly motivated team to assist in the requirements gathering, analysis, design and implementation of business processes and data migration into the Google Cloud Platform. Develop system engineering, system integration, and distributed system architecture. Research, test, and verify proper functioning of software patches and fixes. Document design specifications, installation instructions, and other system-related information. Direct the analysis, development, and operation of complete computer systems. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Write code, complete programming, write test scripts and perform testing and debugging of applications. Consult with customers or other departments on project status, proposals, and technical issues, such as software system design and maintenance. Full Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent foreign degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a closely related IT field, plus at least five (5) years of progressive, post-bachelor's experience analyzing user needs and performance, fixing defects, providing guidance on software system design/maintenance issues, and developing testing or validation procedures. The entirety of this experience must include (1) Using automation and configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, and Puppet); (2) Developing integration flow files using Qlik Replicate; (3) Working with Linux systems engineering; (4) Using public and hybrid cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform) and (5) Working with Agile systems management, DevOps, and Qlik Replicate. In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree and five years of progressive, post-bachelor's experience, employer will also accept a Master's degree or equivalent foreign degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a closely related IT field, plus three (3) years of experience in the fields listed above.
