Work Location: In the office or hybrid (in the office 3 or more days per week)

Position Description

This position is responsible for conducting provider, case management, care coordination and operational regulatory audits in accordance with Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Services (MSS) department quality standards. Responsible for audit execution, identification and reporting trends, tracking and reporting results and providing feedback to staff and leadership. Track delegate and provider performance and offer feedback and collaborative coaching.

• Maintain knowledge of all MSS work instructions, authorization grids, job aids, care coordination requirement grids and relevant policies across all programs and systems.

• Prepare, conduct, and analyze audits to ensure technical completeness, accuracy and compliance to department policies. Provide feedback and follow-up support as needed.

• Run daily reports and document and communicate audit results in a timely and consistent manner which is entirely collaborative in nature and operates from the perspective of assuming positive intent.

• Assist and provide feedback in the identification of process improvements both internally and externally to enhance quality, including the update of work instructions, job aids, department policies and/or staff training.

• Timely reporting of identified trends and/or system-related issues to Oversight Manager and coordination of other department leaders.

• Act as subject matter expert supporting leadership in training and auditing aspects of all MSS programs.

• Meet and maintain production and quality standards.

• Support training audits.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.


Bachelor's degree in mental health or substance use related program.

Required Experience

Three years experience in healthcare industry. Experience with auditing.

Preferred Experience

Regulatory experience. Experience writing, developing and implementing polices and procedures. Amisys, HealthRules, Macess/EXP, and Microsoft Office knowledge and experience.
