As an Engineer, you serve as a technical specialist delivering the infrastructure that powers Target. You develop keen insight into the technical architecture and design. You constantly demonstrate the depth of your expertise by solving engineering problems. You are passionate about the quality of infrastructure and balance between speed of delivering new features and stability for our guests and team. You can handle operational issues with little or no oversight. You actively review documentation, code, and install plans to ensure that new tools work right the first time.

You'll take the lead as you work directly with Target's stores and DC's, delivering the technology that enables all of Target's services, including server and network infrastructure, wireless networks, IoT devices, point-of-sale, and more.

· 4 year degree or equivalent experience

· 2+ years of technology support, installation, or design experience

· Demonstrates familiarity with current and emerging technologies in own scope of responsibility, and develops ability to apply these technologies

· Demonstrates and continuously builds upon domain-specific knowledge

· Demonstrates proficiency in at least one computer language

· Maintains technical knowledge within areas of expertise

· Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education

Additional skills or experience that may help:

· Experience installing technology in a retail or industrial environment

· 1+ year experience reviewing CAD plans

· Formal CAD software training

· Network certification
