Description:
Both online and off, Target is continuously changing the game of retail. From the top-down, a commitment has been made to focus on innovation. One of the key examples of this can be found within Roundel, the media arm of Target. We started off on the right foot as one of the first companies to build a complete system linking audience, inventory and measurement for running programmatic marketing campaigns. This was just the beginning and we are still going strong.

To be a key member of Roundel is to be part of a key priority for Target. Roundel is built on the principles of first party (people based) data, brand safe environments and proof that our marketing programs drive business results for our clients. We operate with the ethos of trust and transparency and that media works best when it works in everyone's best interest. At the very root of that, Roundel is here to drive business growth for our clients and redefine "value" in the industry by solving core industry challenges AND NOT copy current industry methods of operation. We are here to not only drive a key growth initiative for Target but also to lead the industry to a better way of operating.

Our team works on a web app called Cerebro. This tool is the key backbone to the entire audience and campaign system. With the web of both internal and external services that we are linking together, you can imagine the complex problems we are solving. With our teams dedicated design and product experts, we control our features and our releases. We also have complete UX autonomy. As a frontend engineer working on Cerebro, you will be responsible for a critical piece of what makes Roundel so successful.

Our development team has a goal of building a culture based on four key assets: Humility, Trust, Collaboration and Personal Responsibility. It's important that we are able to communicate effectively and teach each other, without destroying anyone's excitement because they were made to feel inadequate. The team has a range of experience and these core assets are crucial to everyone being able to focus on what we do best: building an awesome site.
