About the Job:

In this role, you will stand up, grow and develop the Cloud & Compute product management team. This role requires working cross functionally with various engineering groups, operations, and management stakeholders. We are looking for someone with strong collaboration, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills who has the willingness and experience to work in a rapidly scaling environment.

Product Teams at Target Corporation are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable.

As a Product Director, you will set the overall strategic vision for your product space and product team, are accountable for succeeding against identified business outcomes and metrics, will set and manage the product's budget and financials, set the short- and long-term product goals, and quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

You will be accountable for building, coaching, and mentoring a strong team of product owners while also building a strong team culture of progress, transparency, and efficiency across Product teams. You will be responsible to elevate your collective team's performance by providing insightful, motivating, and constructive feedback to all roles on the team while also working with senior leadership and peers across pyramids to negotiate and remove execution related barriers for your teams.

You will drive product discovery with key stakeholders to validate hypotheses and concepts with customers before committing engineering time, as you lead highly complex work across multiple pyramids, with interrelated specialties. You will leverage data and analytics to provide competitive analysis, drive decision making, assess the health and effectiveness of your products and related P&L impacts, and to deliver recommendations to key stakeholders.

It will be critical that you possess an understanding of retail or similar area, relevant technologies and design principles in order to drive innovative and scalable solutions across multiple pyramids within Target. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

What you'll be doing:
  • Developing and sharing a roadmap reflecting customer input and strategic direction for our Hybrid Cloud offering
  • Working closely with the Engineering team to ensure clear understanding of customer needs and acting as liaison with customers and team to set clear expectations on what is coming when
  • Interviewing customers and prospects to determine needs and wants
  • Managing a team of product managers to develop and maintain a prioritized backlog of enhancements and defects
  • Evangelize the Cloud and Compute vision and lead change


About you:
  • 4-year college degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of retail experience or equivalent domain experience
  • Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to influence both at a strategic leadership level and cross functionally
  • Expert at working in the agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
  • Strategic mindset and bias for action with strong ability for strategic planning, defining OKRs and driving business outcomes
  • Ability to lead and influence a team while fostering relationships across multiple enterprise wide teams
  • A clearly demonstrable customer facing manor with an ability to establish a quick rapport and trust
  • Advanced knowledge of Private, Public and Hybrid Cloud scenarios
  • Proven track record of delivering successful enterprise software
  • Proven history of managing, recruiting, and developing high performing product management teams


This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $136,700 to $246,00. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Target cares about and invests in you as a team member, so that you can take care of yourself and your family.
