Job Summary:

This employee’s primary responsibility is to configure equipment and perform transactions to complete the equipment shipping process. In addition, the shipping technician proactively supports reducing waste, shortening cycle times, improving quality, reducing costs, increasing efficiencies, etc. This employee will be an SAP power user and performs other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be knowledgeable of Subsite equipment configurations.

  • Be able to analyze information from a variety of sources such as warehouse, production, sales order and shipping reports.

  • Employee must maintain an acceptable attendance record and utilize time management principles in an effort to stay on task and be as productive and efficient as possible.

  • Meet or exceed typical expectations for problem solving, effectiveness, organization, and equipment knowledge.

  • Ensure products are shipped with consistency and within specifications of Sales Orders.

  • Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.

  • Abide all safety policies at the facility.

  • Ensure a safe work environment for yourself and other employees in the area.

  • Incorporate safety into all work processes performed.

  • Inform plant supervision of any opportunities to increase safety in the facility.

  • Support efforts to drive ongoing improvements in existing product cost/quality, manufacturing cycle time, safety, productivity and efficiency, and facilities layout.

Work Environment:

  • Electronics manufacturing and office environments.

  • Manufacturing environment includes various levels of temperature, humidity and noise, as well as hazardous materials, including solvents, pressurized gases, acids/caustics, solders, fluxes, adhesives and cleaners.

  • Occasional outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.

  • Ability to adapt work schedule and priorities to accommodate business priorities and needs.

Job Qualifications:

  • Have an understanding of warehouse and shipping operations.

  • Have excellent organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize and organize information.

  • Have the ability to analyze information.

  • Be proficient in personal computer applications (Word, Excel, SAP, etc.)

  • Through behavior and communication, maintain positive relationships with internal customers, supervisors, and co-workers.

  • Have a good work record, including indications of strong self-motivation, high productivity, reliable attendance, attention to quality, ability to learn new skills, and a cordial, cooperative personality.

  • Be very flexible toward changes in personal work schedules. This includes being willing to work extra time and adapting to changes in work loads upon very short notice.

  • Demonstrate excellent communications skills, along with the ability to make effective group presentations.
