About the Job:

As a Product owner with the Pricing & Promotion Center of Excellence (COE), you're on a mission with merchants to develop the enterprise-wide pricing and promotion strategies. Your work impacts millions of dollars in the form of everyday retail prices, promotional strategy and effectiveness, clearance management and competitive pricing. Your strong partnership across Merchandising, Marketing, Digital and Stores teams will bring offers to life for our guests. You'll also work closely with Store Operations, Inventory, Finance and other key support areas.

The Promotions Product team develops enterprise products that serve as the command center for Target team members to easily make the best decisions that bring Target's promotional strategy to life for our guests. Our team connects the business strategies of merchandising and the creativity of marketing with the power of technology and data science to build products that will drive promotional decision making, operational excellence and a seamless guest experience.

Product Teams at Target Corporation are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology and design work.

As a Sr. Product Owner, you will work in the product model and will collaborate with your product team and key stakeholders to develop a plan and business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product. You will need to build a strong knowledge of your product through product discovery to collect customer feedback and work to collect other relevant data points that explain the value and help you prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product. You will work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists and business partners to deliver a product. You are the champion of your product to drive adoption and achieve desired outcomes.

You will be the "voice of the product" with your product team and stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and you will be responsible to maintain and refine the product backlog (create user stories & acceptance criteria) while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.

You will encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as, inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction. You will foster sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

About you:
  • 4-year college degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of retail, experience or equivalent domain experience
  • Ability to understand business processes and goals, empathize with end-users, identify and quantify impact of opportunities to simplify workflow and decision making
  • Ability to prioritize across competing opportunities, ensuring alignment with stakeholders
  • Strong problem solving, collaboration, negotiation
  • Inspire your team by building shared context and fostering innovation to drive results
  • Experience in product management, merchandising, pricing/promotions desired
  • Strong communication skills
  • Technical aptitude
  • Experience working in an agile environment


This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $75,000 to $135,000.
