Join Target's Digital Product Analytics team where your goal will leverage the tools and capabilities that we build to enable the Guest experience. You will enable continuous innovation and drive business performance via testing and measurement (experimentation). We play a key role in identifying the test-and-measure or A/B test opportunities that continuously help Target improve the guest experience, whether they love to shop in stores or at Target.com.

A role with Digital Product Analytics is a chance to help develop our in-house strength for getting the maximum value from Target's many data assets. We see data as a product and an opportunity to experiment and refine our approach to new guest experiences. This is how we bring to life what wasn't possible yesterday, and generate new revenue sources for Target in the process. Our purpose is to accelerate omni-channel A/B testing to fuel the continuous innovation that we believe is the key to exceeding guest expectations in our stores and digital channels. Together, we positively impact changes to various initiatives, processes and interdependencies that require exceptional data collection, measurement and analysis-ultimately leading to quicker and more meaningful decision-making at Target. This is a role for someone passionate about data, feature experimentation and business strategy.

As a Sr Product Analyst with the Digital Product Analyst team, you will
  • Serve as an advocate of our data-driven culture, work closely with Product and Engineering teams, helping them use insights that will direct their efforts towards initiatives with the highest impact.
  • Analyze and explore data in our Hadoop ecosystem, work with product owner(s) to design a measurement plan and metric hierarchy, analyze the product performance, and provide strategic recommendations. You'll use your analytical expertise to help determine priorities and areas of focus.
  • Synthesize analysis and results in compelling storylines and communicate to key stakeholders. You should have the ability to tell a story around the problem, the solution and the impact and value of implementing a solution
  • Define data to be collected for measuring the success of new product features, define KPIs, and work with engineering on tracking and instrumentation of data.
  • Leverage descriptive statistics and AB Testing practices to determine best path for optimization
  • Design and build self-service dashboards using a mixture of analytical and visualization techniques to derive actionable insight from data to influences business and product decisions
  • Democratize data and insights as you strive to deliver self-service tools to your partners and enable them to make better decisions more quickly.
  • Deliver dashboard reporting and hold products and businesses accountable for results against goals and objectives

About You:
  • Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance in a quantitative field; or strong equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of work experience in analytics, consulting, product, or engineering
  • Professional work experience in a technology company, start-up, or other analytical roles in digital or retail
  • Intermediate SQL experience writing complex queries
  • Solid problem solving and analytical skills
  • Support conclusions with analytical evidence using descriptive statistics, basic inferential statistics, and data visualizations
  • Ability to identify and succinctly summarize roadblocks, constraints, and trade-offs, propose potential solutions, and drive toward resolution
  • Experience in AB Testing methods, including statistical analysis
  • Intellectually curious, high energy with a strong work ethic
  • Experience in analytics tools such as: SQL, Excel, R, Hadoop/Hive, DOMO, spark, Adobe Analytics etc. or equivalent technologies


This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is 62,500 to 112,500.
