Sr. Recruiter - Tech & Engineering

Responsible for sourcing, recruiting, screening and interviewing applicants for technology and engineering open positions. Works with a variety of both external and internal sources to find the best candidates for open positions as well as building a network and pipeline for future openings. Works with hiring managers to understand the required skills and experience for the positions. Negotiates and prepares job offers in cooperation with hiring manager, HR and compensation.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Support talent acquisition strategies to meet business objectives of The Toro Company (TTC).
Utilize a variety of methods including but not limited to professional networking, community outreach and cold calling to attract and source candidates for open roles and build a network for future openings. Effectively use common tools as well as generate creative ideas for attracting and sourcing candidates.
Actively engage in recruiting activities aimed at reaching a diverse pool of candidates including but not limited to women, minorities, veterans, and individuals with disabilities.
Evaluate candidates through phone screens and behavioral-based interviews.
Build customer focused, collaborative relationships throughout the organization with a focus on strong relationships with leaders and hiring managers with responsibilities for technology and engineering.
Partner with HR Business Leaders and hiring managers to understand current and future talent needs.
Serve as a talent advisor to advise, influence and make sound judgment calls on candidate viability and offer negotiation.
Effectively and efficiently prioritize requisition loads; work independently to fill positions in a responsive and timely manner.
Research and recommend innovative talent acquisition strategies, serve as subject matter expert in projects or implementation.
Establish and optimize relationships with direct hire agencies and other sources as needed.
Complete other duties and projects as assigned or apparent.
Bachelor’s Degree and 4-7+ years of progressive experience in recruiting and selection, with 2+ years of experience specializing in technical and engineering roles required (equivalent experience of demonstrable success in filling technology and engineering roles considered)
Knowledge of unique education, skills and experiences that candidates require for technology and engineering roles
Proven track record of direct sourcing, using online recruitment tools, and best practice recruiting methodologies
Strong knowledge of local and regional market drivers and candidate supply and demand
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal leaders, hiring managers and HR partners
Demonstrated proficiency with applicant tracking systems and online recruitment tools
Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication, and presentation skills
Knowledge of federal and state employment laws with particular focus on talent acquisition
Location & Travel:
Position based at TTC facility in Bloomington, MN
May work fully remote
May require limited travel to TTC sites throughout the U.S
