As the Senior Manager in Operations Intelligence, you'll be responsible for reporting, analysis, and data for our Global Transportation & Logistics organization that supports our international and domestic transportation networks. In this role you'll serve as an advocate of our data-driven culture, lead a team of analysts and build an effective reporting/data ecosystem, analyze the results, and provide strategic recommendations. You'll use market-leading tools and data automation to make a positive impact that's felt across the business. You'll partner closely with our Product, Technology Data Sciences, and business partners to identify gaps in reporting and analytics offerings and democratizing data and insights as you strive to deliver tools to your partners and enable them to make better decisions quicker.

  • Put integrity, ethics and inclusivity at the heart of everything they do.
  • Design and implement the strategy for OI Metrics & Reporting for International, Domestic Fist Mile, Middle Mile Transportation as well as Transportation Finance and Global Trade.
  • Build a high performing team through talent pipeline planning, hiring, setting clear expectations and performance management.
  • Lead a team of data analysts providing strategic guidance on projects and development guidance, which help build Target's future leaders.
  • You will foster innovation to develop practical solutions to long standing problems.
  • Work with Transportation teams and leaders to define a problem, find the requisite data and propose solutions based on data analysis.
  • Understand and anticipate problems and move to solve them quickly.
  • Create and automate reporting and insights at scale that informs and influences business decisions.
  • Democratize data and insights as you strive to deliver self-service tools to your partners and enable them to make better decisions quicker.
  • Effectively communicate with and educate business leaders on data insights.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, peers and technology partners to mature data foundations, analytics capabilities and mathematical applications that drive the business.

About you:
  • Minimum BS degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics or equivalent experience in other related quantitative field
  • 2+ plus years of experience in developing BI solutions including: analysis, design, coding, testing, and report building
  • Understand the Product model and ability to work and lead an Agile team
  • Demonstrated ability to drive efforts from concept to implementation and influence across all levels of the organization
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical acumen
  • Superior communication, listening, and organizational skills
  • Inquisitive on Big Data technology - current on new ideas and tools utilized in BIA
  • Good understanding of data structures and the designing of algorithms
  • Good understanding of mathematical concepts and ability to grasp complex mathematics
  • Proven team leadership experience including hiring, coaching, building a talent pipeline, performance management
  • Proven experience quickly adapting to changing priorities and tasks
  • Work in high intensity situations with composure and ease
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Establish and maintain cross-functional working relationships
