This position performs a variety of tasks related to the determination of eligibility for public assistance programs. Provides training, staff monitoring, and computer support to Eligibility Specialists/Child Care Assistance Specialist and assists the supervisors in the Income Maintenance Unit. Reviews financial cases to ensure completeness and accuracy of new employees. Work is performed in an office setting. MQs: Requires:
- high school diploma/GED and five years of related work experience** OR
- high school diploma/GED plus one or more years post-secondary education and three years of related work experience**
**Related work experience MUST BE in a position involving health and human services, program eligibility, or working with a caseload to determine and provide public assistance benefits to a broad range of clientele. (Experience with all programs preferred). Preference given for completion of a State administered mentor training program, for hands-on training and mentoring experience. The incumbent shall possess a valid driver's license and provide a reliable means of transportation for the performance of work responsibilities.
Pay Range: $26.47 to $38.05 per hour – DOQ.
