Sr. Insights Researcher, Shopper and Marketplace Insights

A role on the Enterprise Insights team means being a champion for our current and future guests and inspiring the organization to act in their best interest. Your influence will guide actionable strategies with a clear foundation of information and insights.

As a Sr Insights Researcher, Shopper and Marketplace Insights, your role will be focused on supporting work to understand the evolution of shoppers, shopping, and the marketplace in service of informing the Target experience of the future. You will be responsible for driving insights that inform and influence decision-making, and uncovering opportunities for growth by leading work that includes a variety of approaches including qualitative and quantitative research, secondary and syndicated data sources, and brand and segmentation data. Travel may be required.

  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree a plus
  • 2-4 years of Research/Analytics/Insights experience
  • Ability to synthesize and clearly communicate complex findings using a variety of data sets to focus on critical issues and actionable opportunities
  • Experience analyzing syndicated data or marketplace observations, and identifying patterns, themes, and trends
  • Strong collaborator who can work both independently and effectively with others
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Understanding of retail, shopper marketing, or experience insights
  • Experience in a variety of methodologies, including qualitative (e.g. ethnography, online consumer panels, IDIs, shopper intercepts, consumer journeys) and quantitative (segmentation, buyer analysis, concept testing, brand tracking).
