The Minnesota House of Representatives is seeking non-partisan applicants with an interest in the legislative process to fill temporary Committee Page positions for the 2022 regular legislative session. These positions will begin late January 2022 and continue for approximately 4 months.
Committee Pages provide various support services to legislators, staff, and the public. Typical tasks include: providing and monitoring access to House space, assisting committee staff and members prior to and during legislative meetings; running errands within the Capitol Complex for members and staff; delivering supplies; and receiving and delivering messages.
Committee Pages must work closely with legislators and staff to ensure legislative hearings function smoothly. In addition to early morning and daytime shifts, pages are frequently required to work evenings and occasional weekend hours.
The ideal candidate is a motivated, non-partisan individual with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong desire to serve in the legislative process. Successful candidates must value professionalism and be willing to work long hours in a cooperative manner until a given task is complete or meeting is concluded.
Hourly rate is $15.68-$17.64.
