A role on the Category Insights team means being a champion for our current and future guests and inspiring the organization to act in their best interest. Your influence will guide actionable strategies with a clear foundation of information and insights.

As a Sr. Analyst, Category Insights, you will play a role in partner's guest-centric decision-making and shaping Target's marketing and business strategies that address changing consumer and business needs. You will help scope, design and execute a variety of insights projects in partnership with internal and external partners. A role on the Category Insights team means you will contribute to helping inform Target's current and future category business growth.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Required: 4+ years of work experience.
  • Preferred experience: 2+ years of insights/market research experience
  • Experience in a variety of methodologies, including qualitative (e.g. ethnography, online consumer panels, IDIs, shopper intercepts, consumer journeys) and quantitative (segmentation, buyer analysis, concept testing, brand tracking).
  • Experience partnering with third-party research agencies.
  • Experience analyzing syndicated/marketplace data and applying macro trends
  • Ability to synthesize findings from multiple sources to tell a holistic, influential "what, why, so what" story and start to translate into insights
  • Strong collaborator who can effectively influence a diverse set of stakeholders both horizontally and vertically
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is ($62,500) to ($112,500).
