Summary:
This role will focus on supporting and improving the quality processes of Document Services as well as select DRC business units and enterprise quality initiatives. Performing quality control activities will also be a large part of this role. The goal of the Quality Specialist is to assist in the establishment of systems, procedures, and processes which are designed to build quality into our products by continual improvement. The will also be a resource for implementing and developing quality assurance processes and addressing issues related to quality performance and compliance.
Essential Position Responsibilities:
Oversees and performs Quality Control activities for Document ServicesPartner with DRC Corporate Quality representatives to insure accuracy and alignment of enterprise quality system documentation.Support or lead remedial, preventive and/or corrective action projects sanctioned at the local, divisional, or enterprise level.Assist in carrying out the DRC Quality Internal Audit processSupport compliance to customer requirements and other external standards (such as ISO 9001).Develop and monitor quality check processes Maintain the Document Services data collection and quality reporting processes.
Provide leadership for external and internal product inspection – participate in training and providing direction to temporary employees for quality control routines during the busy seasons.Assist in the Quality training of regular fulltime personnel.Provide management with measurement and continual improvement toolsProvide other departments with process assistance, training, educationSupplier and Process Improvement initiatives
(i.e: 5S, Lean Manufacturing & Statistical Process Control techniques)
Preferred Qualifications
4-year degree preferred along with 5 years related work experience or equivalent work experience of at least 10 years
Experience with ISO 9001 processes to include ISO 9001 Internal auditor certification
Experience in manufacturing processes, preferably in the printing industry
Experience with PC and corresponding Document Services software packages
Must possess excellent planning and organizational skills
Must be organized and have the ability to focus on intricate details
Must have the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals
Must have the ability to work independently and demonstrate personal initiative
Familiar with Lean Manufacturing techniques is preferred.

Physical Requirements: This job requires the ability to hear clearly at conversation levels, the ability to and have clear close, peripheral and distance vision. The essential duties must be performed satisfactorily in order for an individual to successfully fulfill the requirements of this position.
Ability to sit and/or stand for up to 8 hour periods of time
Ability to look at a computer monitor, utilize a keyboard and/or mouse for up to 8
hours per day
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds as necessary
