One of the world's leading and most recognized brands requires an industry-leading Assets Protection (AP) team who ensures the security of our teams, vendors, buildings and merchandise. Assets Protection teams function is to provide a secure environment for our team members and mitigate shortage to increase profitability.

As a Senior Manager, External Engagement -you will be responsible for leading a team that will develop and maintain a positive working relationship with officials, agencies and assets protection organizations across the country. Your team will be responsible for the identification, development, planning and execution of community building events that have an AP/Investigative connection. You will be the primary contact point and liaison for external industry organizations, representing Target's interests and helping to guide policy and priorities. As a Sr. Manager, you will coach and develop team members to create a positive work environment and promote personal and professional development. In this role you manage and oversee the development, prioritization, and implementation of new processes, including developing plans, managing execution, and measuring results for the standards and governance team and you will serve as a liaison between HQ AP team, Business Partners and Field AP teams.

About you:
  • 4 year college degree
  • 4+ years of experience in relevant business support or field support role
  • Project and process management/ownership experience
  • Ability to establish and maintain cross-functional working relationships at multiple levels
  • Ability to influence key business partners and senior leadership
  • Ability to connect projects and concepts across teams to create an informed perspective
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems with limited direction
  • Continual learner always seeking and evaluating solutions to improve our operations
  • Microsoft Office proficient


Preferred Qualification:
  • Government affairs or public/private sector liaison/management


This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $81,300 to $146,400. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Target cares about and invests in you as a team member, so that you can take care of yourself and your family.
