About the Job:

The Guest Experience Management (GEM) product team, foundational to the Know the Guest Digital product group, is responsible for Digital Merchandising and Content Management tools along with Guest Content and Message delivery pipelines. Our objective is to increase guest content and message relevancy while improving digital merchandising performance and content creation efficiency. The GEM team is uniquely positioned across team member tools and Guest facing product teams and is continuously improving processes and technology that results in increased digital merchandising automation creating a smarter, intelligent Digital Merchandising tools system along with future orchestrated guest content and message creation and delivery.

The Relevancy Management team is focused on scaled merchandising strategies across Top of Funnel Browse pages and includes expanding intelligent page relevancy and ranking controls, improving facet management and recommendations, and delivering new experience performance insights and actionable merchandising recommendations.

As the Sr. Product Owner GEM - Relevancy Management, you will lead a cross functional team across Search Product, User Experience, Digital Merchandisers and Analytics teams to help develop a product strategy and related roadmap, set key business objectives (OKRs), and continue to bring existing elements of the relevancy controls solution together to develop a value-added Browse Relevancy Management tools strategy.

Product Teams at Target Corporation are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all products, technology and design work.

As a Sr. Product Owner, you will work in the product model and will collaborate with your product team and key stakeholders to develop a plan and business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product. You will need to build a strong knowledge of your product through product discovery to collect customer feedback and work to collect other relevant data points that explain the value and help you prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product. You will work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists and business partners to deliver a product.

You will be the "voice of the product" with your product team and stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and you will be responsible to maintain and refine the product backlog (create user stories & acceptance criteria) while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.

You will encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction. You will foster sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

About you:

  • 4-year college degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of technical product experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Technical aptitude
  • Experience working in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in hypothesis-driven decision-making
  • Experience within Digital Merchandising or eCommerce Operations preferred but not required
  • Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams
  • SEO, SEM, and Internal Search or relevancy product knowledge experience helpful

This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $75,000 to $135,000.
