Are you looking to see more, do more, and achieve more? A role in Inventory Management Operations allows you to leverage your expertise by analyzing, researching, and creating solutions on a large scale to enhance Target's ability to manage inventory.

Primary Functions:

As a Senior Supply Chain Business Partner within Inventory Management Operations supporting the temperature-controlled supply chain, you will have the opportunity to take the lead in developing, supporting and evolving FDC Major Freight Flow Events. Cultivate strong relationships across the organization and partner with FDC partners to ensure optimal freight flow and product availability around major transitions and holidays. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Use your skills, experience, and creativity to develop innovative solutions and provide best-in-class support. As a Senior Supply Chain Business Partner:
  • Lead the planning, communication and support of events through the FDC network, with the goal to effectively plan freight flow, minimize disruptions and meet guest and business needs.
  • Leverage your experience in coordinating and supporting a cross-functional team by partnering with Core IM, FDC Field partners, transportation, Food Supply Chain partners, S&OP, and Store operations.
  • Utilize strong project management skills to scope, scale, analyze, and create sound solutions addressing root cause to FDC Major Event freight flow issues.
  • Learn and demonstrate subject matter expertise in IM and Food Supply Chain processes to help guide cross-functional partners on decisions and strategy.
  • Be an advocate for change, critically examine current processes and areas of need within the event planning space and leverage knowledge and cross functional partnership to drive improvements.
  • Advocate for the supply chain through education and training key partners through formal documentation and trainings and through day-to-day interaction.
  • Utilize strong project management skills to scope, scale, analyze, and create sound solutions addressing root cause to FDC Major Event freight flow issues.


Job Requirements:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Target Supply Chain or Merchandising roles
  • Working understanding of Target temperature controlled supply chain
  • Prior FDC Experience or IM/Supply Chain experience working with FDCs is preferred.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently to prioritize and take action.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to tailor communication to different audiences.
  • Highly accountable and demonstrated ability to lead through others to drive sustainable improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge norms, take smart risks, and quickly learn and adapt from mistakes.
  • Strong ability to build partnerships and collaborate across the organization. Prior CFT leadership or similar experience.
  • Flexibility & resiliency; comfortable working in 'grey areas' that are constantly changing.


This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $62,500 to $112,500.
