About the Job:

The Lead Product Owner represents the "voice of the customer" for the Replenishment Order Management team. This position will be responsible for leading modernization integrations across new and existing nodes. i.e., Flow Centers, Food Distribution Centers, and Sortation Centers. Additionally, this position will be responsible for developing the capabilities to manage enterprise flexibility across Target's middle-mile replenishment network. These capabilities will manage to ideal inventory plans while making trade-offs to balance inventory flow while intelligently reacting to variances against operational constraints. This position will work across Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management and Technology pyramids to collaborate with end users and stakeholders to build business requirements, prioritize functionalities which maximize business value, and represents the product capabilities to engineering team(s).

Product Teams at Target Corporation are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology and design work.

As a Lead Product Owner, you will work in the product model and will collaborate with your product team and key stakeholders to develop a plan and business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product. You will need to build a strong knowledge of your product through product discovery to collect customer feedback and work to collect other relevant data points that explain the value and help you prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product. You will work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists and business partners to deliver a product.

You will be the "voice of the product" with your product team and stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met, and you will be responsible to maintain and refine the product backlog (create user stories & acceptance criteria) while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.

You will encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction. You will foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

Reporting/Working Relationships

• Reports to Director, Replenishment Order Management (ROM)
• Located at Target Minneapolis HQ.
• Working Relationships: Works closely with Target Tech engineering teams, business product teams, Inventory Management teams, and Warehouse Management teams.

About you:

• 4-year college degree (or equivalent experience)
• 6+ years experience technology product experience in supply chain or inventory management
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams
• Experience working in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
• Proven ability to lead a body of work with cross functional partners
• Demonstrated experience working in a product model using industry best practices
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills leveraging data
• Strong business, technology and data acumen skills
