​A role with Shortage Operations and Strategies is a chance to positively impact several key areas of Target's business. Your work will contribute to reducing shortage and theft across the stores through supporting exciting new initiatives and technology.

​The Business Partner of Assets Protection - Shortage Operations manages the core Merchandise Protection program and processes which support the theft mitigation strategies. The primary responsibilities are to support the stores theft mitigation needs, manage vendor relationships, support new store and remodels, organize and track processes, and utilize tools and resources to enable strategies in our highest shortage stores.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Process and Procedure:

​Directly supports stores through managing the intake process of ordering, tracking, and follow-up on theft mitigation requests.

Manages the goCart catalog assortment, inventory, forecasting, and budgeting

Prioritizes based on strategic support of team projects, new stores, remodels, and proof of concepts.

​Collaboration:

​Working collaboratively with all the teams including Stores, Field Leaders, Project managers, Sourcing, Procurement, Store Design, and 3rd Party Vendors/Installers.

​Effectively partnering with sourcing and procurement teams to ensure best support stakeholders.

​Demonstrating ability to cooperate with other teams (both internal and external), in order to address the critical inventory needs.

Provides regular and real time communication update on merchandise protection devices and fixtures.

​Promoting an atmosphere of teamwork and trust.

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or 1-4 years experience
  • ​Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage projects, set timeliness and meet deadlines
  • ​Desire to improve processes through technology and make programs more efficient
  • ​Strong analytical, financial, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • ​​​Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • ​Excellent problem solving skills
  • ​Ability to maximize relationships team player/inspires others/takes partners across the organization and with outside vendors
  • ​Intermediate computer skills: SmartSheets, Domo, GreenField, Excel
