About the job

As a Senior UX Manager for the Stores UX team you'll be leading a group of kind and talented Product Designers. The team is responsible for digital touchpoints throughout the store including cash registers (POS), self checkout, and mobile Team Member tools that power processes and activities that enable both our physical and digital business. In your day to day, you will partner closely with product, process and engineering partners to shape strategy and empower your team to design solutions that help Target stores make continued progress in efficiency gains and customer service. You'll build relationships with leaders in Digital, Store Operations, Supply Chain and Data Science in order to gain alignment and prioritize the most valuable work for your team, our store Team Members and our Guests.

  • Prioritizing UX resources and the work they're involved in, placing team members on high priority initiatives that complement their skills, career ambitions and growth opportunities.
  • Continually coaching your team on tactical design skills, soft skills and growth within their careers.


Requirements
  • 7+ years experience in digital software product work, with user experience emphases in research, UX architecture, interaction design and/or visual design.
  • Examples of successful UX team leadership and mentoring
  • Expert skills in wireframing, design, and prototyping tools (includes Axure, Omnigraffle, Sketch, Invision, Illustrator, Photoshop or equivalent)
  • Experience in both in-person and remote UX research methodologies and ability to conduct or partner with research expert
  • Proven ability to successfully lead large-scale projects and initiatives involving multiple cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional collaborator and influenser
  • Ability to work well in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to present well and articulate and defend design decisions with grace, logic and data


This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is ($97,600) to ($175,700).
