Temporary backfill position as a full-time Committee Administrator with the DFL Caucus of the Minnesota House of Representatives to provide administrative services to ensure orderly and proper functioning of the House Committees on: Labor, Industry, Veterans and Military Affairs Finance and Policy; and Workforce and Business Development Finance and Policy. We will require coverage during most of the regular 2022 legislative session when the current Committee Administrator will be on leave.

Duties include planning public hearings, conducting research, tracking legislation, administering the committee budget, and maintaining communication between the DFL committee chair, committee members, state agencies, legislative staff, interested individuals, and pertinent Senate committee(s).

Position requires knowledge of state government and legislative process.  Position involves frequent public contact.  Excellent oral and written communication skills required.  Proficiency in video conferencing applications such as Zoom and Teams for remote hearings/meetings required.  Must have the ability to work long and irregular hours.

BA/BS required; graduate or professional degree and equivalent experience in a pertinent field preferred.  A work issued laptop will be provided.

Entry salary $2,228.70 semi-monthly, commensurate with experience.
