Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Lead to manage and oversee all warehouse activities, ensure efficient processes, and maximize warehouse productivity. The Warehouse Lead’s responsibilities include leading employees, coordinating logistical processes, ensuring the quality of goods, and preparing relevant documentation. Must be dependable and have excellent organizational and time management skills. This is a hands-on and task driven position that requires a focus on safety and efficiency. This position reports to the Materials Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works with other departments to ensure that outbound orders can be filled.

  • Provides leadership to other warehouse members to communicate material flow and plan ahead.

  • Managing, evaluating, and reporting on warehouse productivity through Lean principles.

  • Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.

  • Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.

  • Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.

  • Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds.

  • Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers.

  • Efficiently finding outbound materials via picking tickets and preparing them for shipment.

  • Accurately stocking incoming materials in their proper location.

  • Daily physical inventory counts and to maintain accuracy.

  • Supporting UPS, Freight, Returns and Customer Pick-Ups.

  • Maintaining areas of work to 5S standards.

  • Provide training to members based on warehouse best practices.

Work Environment:

  • Plant environment with outside loading and unloading of trucks.

  • Rapidly changing demands, schedules, and deadlines.

  • Majority of the day on your feet.

  • Extended use of telephone and computer.

  • Working with hazardous materials, including fuels, lubricants, drilling fluids, and batteries while wearing the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  • 8am – 5pm working hours, Monday – Friday.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Preferred 5+ years of experience in a plant or warehouse environment.

  • Ability to lift to 50lbs.

  • Ability to be certified to operate a forklift and use other heavy equipment.
