As a Lead Portfolio Manager, T&C | DEI you will play a critical role in the planning, prioritization, sequencing, delivery and measurement of programs, experiences, services and tools for your respective portfolio across Learning & Development, Culture, Team Member Experience, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. You will also lead the creation and delivery of critical communication moments to key stakeholders internally and externally in a streamlined and intentional narrative aligned to strategic priorities. You'll play a key role with the T&C | DEI leaders to bring these experiences to life for our team members - directly impacting guests and communities every day.

Some of the core responsibilities are:

• Leads the strategic planning process for your portfolio of businesses with T&C | DEI leaders - including the development and iteration short & long-term plans (ex. capability maturity models, multi-year roadmaps, annual priorities & plans)

• Ensures sequencing, timing, delivery and impact of efforts are maximized through project/program tracking, reporting, ongoing prioritization & calibration - enabling faster strategic decision making & ruthless prioritization

• Identifies cross-functional risks, dependencies & contingencies for your portfolio; Works closely with the T&C | DEI PMO team, leaders and Planning & Delivery partners across the HR ecosystem to mitigate risk, collision points and timely conflict resolution of decisions, issues and risks

• Ensures project and portfolio management tools, templates, best practices and routines are adopted and effectively used real-time and consistently by teams to appropriately sequence, deliver and measure progress against annual plans

• Drives and leads portfolio review meetings with respective CFT partners to celebrate key accomplishments, prioritize and align on new or incremental work (in-take + allocation), mitigate risks/dependencies, align key stakeholder messages/campaigns and identify/highlight unresolved issues, decisions or risks

• Facilitates and governs resource allocation and optimization processes, ensuring leaders are efficiently staffing prioritized work in alignment with strategic and/or emerging priorities; Consults around resource optionality and flexibility (ex. existing team capacity, talent on tap, contractors, technology, etc.)

• Creates, plans & manages editorial and communications calendar for portfolio of business with awareness and visibility of what is planned across the enterprise; Identifies opportunities to streamline, integrate or strategically sequence communications across the appropriate internal/external channels; Supports business/team member facing communications or marketing as appropriate/needed

• Leads peers, partners and leaders through change
  • Strategically plot, develop and deliver communications on behalf of the T&C | DEI organization based on delivery plans ,work in flight and key milestone moments
  • Create campaigns, where appropriate, for strategic priorities coming from the D&I | T&C org and customize client
  • Demonstrates flexibility, resiliency, innovation, and optimization as a member of a new team/capability; Willing to test, iterate and learn how we best serve our organization
  • Job duties may change at any time due to business need


About you:

· 5+ years of program, project and process management experience -- including tools, methodologies and best practices
  • A dot connector - you can pull together complex initiatives and deliverables tied into major priorities and create a communication to tell the story of the work in a concise, creative and consumable manner.

· Strong demonstrated resource and relationship management skills (people, budget & time) with the ability to manage with influence leaders in a highly matrixed environment

· Excellent verbal, written, facilitation and presentation skills with a solid understanding of communication best practices, tools, segmentation and approaches

· Critical thinker, connector of dots and ability to solve complex problems

· Cool under pressure; does not become defensive or irritated when challenged or during tough times; openly listens, balances perspectives with data and insights and is fearless in challenging appropriately

· First-hand experience with work management systems (ex. Mavenlink, Smartsheet, etc.)

· An entrepreneurial spirit

· 5+ years of HR experience and deep understanding of HR ecosystem strongly preferred

This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $81,300k to $146,400k Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Target cares about and invests in you as a team member, so that you can take care of yourself and your family.
