This is a Life Enrichment Associate Position.

Duties: Takes direction from management for all job duties and project coordination. Leads or assists with planning & implementation of group or one-on-one programs and leisure activities for independent and assisted living residents. Must be available for programs/activities offered on weekends and holidays to accommodate resident interests and needs. Creates announcements/flyers for various program communications, including maintenance of decorative bulletin boards throughout the community. Welcomes new residents and learns about their hobbies/interests for future programs. Assists with purchasing supplies and materials for planned activities. Provides resident transportation for off campus planned outings. Attends and participates in weekly staff meetings, required annual in-service training and other essential job requirements. Attention to and perpetuation of the core values and mission of Villa St. Benedict are essential.

Qualifications Required are:

*High School Diploma or equivalent.*Previous experience working with the senior population.*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.*Valid state driver's license.*Microsoft Office skills.*Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
Overview

The Wellness Coach specializes in Exercise Groups and Wellness Programming and is the liaison between Wellness, Rehabilitation Services, and Nursing.


Responsibilities

Manages and maintains residents' wellness/restorative nursing programs and reports any changes to the treatment plan. Conducts exercise groups that meet the MDS criteria for restorative nursing and documents the care provided. Maintains specialized equipment, such as alarms, cushions, and wheelchairs. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team by planning and anticipating long term and/or short term needs regarding residents' admission and discharge.


Qualifications

Qualifications Required

  • Successful completion of a Wellness Training and Restorative Nursing Class.

Qualifications Preferred

  • In good standing on the State Nursing Assistant Registry.
  • Experience in a hospital or nursing home setting.
  • CPR certified.
