A role in Global Inventory Management (GIM) means applying your specialized and well-informed point of view to what we buy, from whom, how much and where it needs to go from there. You'll use the right combination of data and expertise to achieve the best possible product availability through proper inventory positioning. You'll also focus on the efficient transportation of product around the world, while ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and achieving the best possible product availability through proper inventory positioning. You'll not only establish and develop great relationships with our vendors to encourage on-time shipment and delivery to stores and ultimately guests, but you'll also analyze transportation supplier capabilities and contracts for maximum speed, reliability and cost effectiveness.

As a Lead Project Manager SC, you will be responsible for leading the evolution of our GIM capabilities, partnering with GIM leaders on strategy development and being the voice of GIM across various enterprise initiatives. You will influence the cross-functional design of our future processes and develop change and implementation plans that enable the GIM team to put new processes to work in support of our capability goals.

  • Manage the evolution of our GIM capabilities, aligning teams on scope, deliverables, resources and timelines; make connections across the various initiatives and identify risks and decision points required to maintain consistent progress toward our capability goals.
  • Design modern processes that support our capabilities and work with product owners to understand how new technology will enable modern process.
  • Develop change management plans and partner with IM Operations (and other teams) to support implementation of modern process and technology.
  • Lead KPI development including definition, design & implementation.
  • Support GIM's ongoing communication plan to drive engagement and visibility of our modernization effort.
  • Represent GIM's interests and influence capability development across various enterprise initiatives (ex. Assortment Planning, One Planning Project, Owned Brand Modernization, etc.)
  • Design and test new operating models that support our capabilities and align with partner teams' continued evolution.

About you:
  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of Inventory Management and/or Planning experience
  • Strength in building strategy and thought leadership
  • Strong project management skills
  • Comfort working in the gray
  • Curiosity with a desire to learn and innovate

This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $81,300 to $146,400.
