Description:
Lead Enterprise Architect (US and India)

As a Lead Enterprise Architect, you are a trusted partner of product and technology teams defining solutions to complex business and technology challenges. You typically solve problems within a business domain or well-defined inter-related group of products. You define and align architecture solutions to Target's enterprise architecture vision known as Target Platform.

Apply your business, technology, and architectural expertise to influence the vision of products while advocating for their needs. As an architecture expert for Target Platform and your domain, you educate and communicate architecture vision to product and technology partners. You guide partners as they solve problems using existing architecture patterns and partner with your enterprise architect peers to create new ones as necessary. As you define solutions, you document architecture clearly and concisely providing product and technology teams reference materials they can use to guide implementations. You verbally communicate architecture vision and designs through written artifacts and drawings, presenting them to leadership via Target's architecture forums.

A current understanding of Target's technology, infrastructure, security and compliance landscapes is essential to your success. As a trusted partner, you understand these areas and influence engineers as they implement solutions informing and guiding technology choices and solution alignment to Target Platform, policies, standards, and guidelines established through Target's architecture leadership forums.

You are curious. You actively seek out, learn, and understand emerging technology and its implications to Target. You partner with engineering to implement proof-of-concepts as needed and communicate learnings to Target technology teams clearly in written and verbal form.

About you:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to communicate technical solutions to technical and non-technical partners
  • Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal and self-directed education
  • Demonstrated experience building solutions using JVM-based languages
  • Demonstrated experience implementing enterprise solutions with microservices, events, or data sciences
  • Proven experience solving complex problems
  • Track record delivering outcomes in self-directed manner
