ACCOUNTS PAYABLE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST - VENDOR MAINTENANCE

Work Location: Standard or hybrid

Position Description

This position is responsible to perform various vendor maintenance functions. Maintain effective and timely communication with vendors and internal customers. Manage UCare's corporate card program while maintaining efficient operations. Administer travel and expense program. Providing backup for posting payments to Wells Fargo desktop deposit system.

• Maintain and cleanup supplier and broker data in database.

• Respond timely to Accounts Payable inquires and issues. Interact and develop good working relationships with vendors and UCare staff who interact or are impacted by the Accounts Payable area.

• Responsible for processing vendor setups and vendor updates.

• Develop, implement, and maintain procedures and policies to facilitate and improve operational efficiencies.

• Responsible for researching, resolving, and responding to provider inquiries received by Accounting through Service Forms via Macess/EXP Provider queue.

• Provide backup to Oracle purchase order system as needed.

• Maintain high quality of service to both internal and external customers

• Provide backup support as needed for key operational tasks.

• Other projects and duties, as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or the equivalent required. Two year degree or certificate in Business or Accounting; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

Two years accounts payable/bookkeeping experience. Proficiency with database and spreadsheet software.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience working directly with internal and external customers to resolve issues. Microsoft Office knowledge preferred and proven ability to learn a variety of software packages. Experience with Oracle EBS. Healthcare experience.
