About the Job:

Join us as a Director of Product Management for our AdTech Operating System - you will design and lead our product development for our end to end process. Within our adstack we have a mix of internally built tools (Order Management System, Audience Planning Tool) and a variety of third party partners (Salesforce, DocuSign, Financial Force etc). In this role you will continue to add scale and capabilities to our suite of products by connecting our guest data to marketing plans & traders while ensuring seamless workflows for our users.

Product Teams at Target Corporation are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable.Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology and design work.

As a Product Director, you will set the overall strategic vision for your product space and product team, are accountable for succeeding against identified business outcomes and metrics, will set and manage the product's budget and financials, set the short- and long-term product goals, and quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

You will be accountable for building, coaching, and mentoring a strong team of product owners while also building a strong team culture of progress, transparency, and efficiency across Product teams.You will be responsible to elevate your collective team's performance by providing insightful, motivating, and constructive feedback to all roles on the team while also working with senior leadership and peers across pyramids to negotiate and remove execution related barriers for your teams.

You will drive product discovery with key stakeholders to validate hypotheses and concepts with customers before committing engineering time, as you lead highly complex work across multiple pyramids, with interrelated specialties.You will leverage data and analytics to provide competitive analysis, drive decision making, assess the health and effectiveness of your products and related P&L impacts, and to deliver recommendations to key stakeholders.

It will be critical that you possess an understanding of retail or similar area, relevant technologies and design principles in order to drive innovative and scalable solutions across multiple pyramids within Target. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

About you:
  • 4-year college degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of experience in product management/ownership
  • 5+ years of experience with Ad Tech or Mar Tech
  • Experience working with data onboarding & CDP/DMP
  • Functional understanding of media planning & trading
  • Experience working with order management, CRM and/or workflow systems
  • Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to influence both at a strategic leadership level and cross functionally
  • Expert at working in the agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
  • Strategic mindset and bias for action with strong ability for strategic planning, defining OKRs and driving business outcomes


This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $137,500 to $247,500.
