USER ACCEPTANCE TESTING (UAT) ANALYST SUPER USER

Work Location: Work from Home, standard or hybrid

Position Description

The User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Super User is responsible for establishing and driving User Acceptance Testing (UAT) standards, planning and execution activities across all Claims impacted work within the Configuration and Claims Operations (CCO) Department. This individual will partner with the Quality Control Manager to build out the testing strategy and roadmap for maturing the UAT practice in the CCO department. Create tools, templates, and processes that will be leveraged by the UAT Analysts and all teams within CCO. UAT activities will be built around, but not limited to, configuration changes in UCare's claims adjudication system, workflow system and other related systems used by the Configuration and Claims Operations Department.

• Responsible for the development of CCO's UAT testing strategies and oversight of testing activities, including: creating testing plans and scenarios, preparing test cases, conducting UAT testing and review results for final UAT business sign-off.

• Collaborate with the IT Quality Assurance (QA) Team, PMO Team, and other stakeholders to provide an approved UAT Test Plan and approach to drive alignment on run the business/ project's testing strategy.

• Manage, track, and provide oversight for project testing, special audits, and post-production audits.

• Develop, implement and communicate quality tracking process and procedures across areas of technical work, including root cause analysis and follow-up.

• Coordinate all UAT planning and execution activities based on department requests or project timelines.

• Train, mentor and coach UAT Analysts and business users in their roles and responsibilities for UAT. This includes the definition of UAT, test planning, test execution, acceptance criteria, test tools and defect management.

• Partner with UAT Analysts, business and technical resources to identify test data and appropriate test environment(s), as needed.

• Create and lead the UAT Defect Management process.

• Champion UAT best practices and the role UAT plays in the life cycle of technical changes in CCO.

• Understand the CCO and UCare Information Technology (IT) technical landscape and the impact of requested business critical system changes.

• Work closely with Business Analysts, Configuration Analysts, and ITQA team members to understand business requirements. Attend design reviews, requirements sessions, and core team meetings. Review business requirement documentation to understand the end user requirements in order to validate system functionality operates as specified.

• Analyze and identify gaps in requirements based on knowledge of the business systems processes and end to end processes.

• Define UAT testing scope. Create and maintain detailed test cases/scripts or other documents as specified, ensuring scenarios are directly aligned to requirements.

• Produce and analyze UAT results, document in a test management tool, troubleshoot defects accordingly, and identify root causes.

• Other projects and duties, as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree or demonstrated work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

Three or more years of leading UAT or QA testing teams. Five or more years of QA and/or UAT Analyst experience. Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience

Testing strategy and planning execution experience. Business Analysis and/ or Project Management experience or background. Strong Healthcare acumen/background, preferable on the payer side of the business.
