Senior Engineer

Target Enterprise, Inc. is seeking a full-time Senior Engineer at our offices in Minneapolis, MN. The Senior Engineer serves as a specialist on the engineering team that supports current and emerging technologies within Target's technical environment. This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience. Must also have 24 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) designing and developing RESTful Web services using JVM based programming language, modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new software, and do continuous refactoring to improve performance; (2) providing production support, troubleshooting issues, creating RCA documents, finding best solutions, planning and implementing the solution; (3) operating, maintaining and expanding logging and monitoring tools to ensure system visibilities, and creating dashboards for system metrics; (4) developing complex queries to interact with SQL and NoSQL databases including Oracle and Cassandra database; and (5) utilizing the following technologies: Groovy, Java, RESTful API, Microservices, Spring, Kafka, JSON, Swagger, Gradle, Kibana, GIT, Spock, Jacoco, cobertura, SonarQube, Oracle, Cassandra, and hibernate.
