About You
As a Senior Data Engineer on the Cyber Fraud team, you serve as a data engineering specialist supporting the team's critical data needs. In this security focused role, you will enable and support key Cyber Fraud & Abuse capabilities by onboarding, maintaining, and optimizing critical datasets used in the prevention and detection of fraudulent, malicious, and abusive activities on Target.com. You will also take part in developing APIs, integrating data from multiple sources, and investigating emerging tools/technologies in the data and security/fraud space. Collaborate and utilize your problem-solving skills in an agile environment as you work among a team of skilled engineers and analysts to address complex or difficult problems, while getting hands-on experience with cutting edge technologies. Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant work experience
- 1+ year of experience in a Data Engineering and/or Hadoop development
- 3+ years software development experience
- Core programming skills in languages like Java, Scala, Python or C++
- Knowledge or experience with a variety of database technologies: HBase, Postgres, Teradata, Cassandra, SQL Server, and Oracle
- Experience interfacing with the Hadoop ecosystem: Hive, Pig, Spark, etc.
- Knowledge with design of data integration using API, streaming technologies (Kafka), ETL and other data Integration patterns
- Knowledge or experience in designing various data models for ensuring scalability and performance of data usage
- CI/CD toolchain knowledge using Git, Drone, Jenkins, Kubernetes a plus
- Constant learner who enjoys working with highly collaborative, global team
