About You
As a Sr. Engineering Manager, Security Testing Services, you will lead a team of penetration testers in a fast-paced, high-energy team. The key to the success of this position is having strong & innovative approach to problem solving, great technical leadership, excellent communication (written and verbal, formal and informal), flexibility, and a self-motivated working style with attention to detail.

As part of Target's cybersecurity team, Security Testing Services is responsible for ad-hoc and ongoing penetration tests of Target technology solutions. Our services support our commitment to ensuring the safety and privacy of our guests. Our techniques include both manual and automated test procedures across all segments of Target Information Technology and our Business Pyramids. Core domains included in our scope of test procedures include enterprise applications, web applications, mobile applications, databases, point of sale applications and infrastructure, retail store applications and infrastructure, mobile devices, network and cloud infrastructure, server, mainframe, directory services, and IoT devices.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage ongoing penetration and security testing, driving best practices and ensuring development of high quality, secure code for common and custom assets and framework components
• Build and lead a team of in-house penetration testers
• Drive continuous improvement and continuous learning of the penetration testing team
• Ensure security testing conforms to security best practices and policies
• Develop new methods and capabilities for testing
• Demonstrate threats to Target systems and environments
• Advocate for resolution of security vulnerabilities across company-wide portfolios
• Create and maintain good relationships amongst security and development teams

Requirements:
• 5+ years' of cybersecurity experience

• Application security and/or penetration testing experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to variety of audiences
• Can draw on examples in their past of how they inspired individuals and teams to accomplish goals greater than was known to be possible at the time

Desired Qualifications:
• BS degree in computer science or equivalent
• 1+ years' of software development experience
• 1+ years' of managing technical teams with a strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional projects
• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement
• Experience working in an agile environment

This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $118,200 to $212,800 annually.
