PORTFOLIO AND RESOURCE COORDINATOR

Work Location: Remote, Standard and Hybrid (in the office 3 days or more per week).

Position Description

This position is responsible to collaborate with the Project Management Office on project portfolio intake, prioritize and engage in resource utilization review and assignments to the project work in the portfolio. Produce department utilization and time tracking reports. Assist in tracking the portfolio for efficient and effective use of the portfolio's resources to deliver company initiatives. Assist in monitoring project demand to determine where capacity shortages or surpluses may arise in the future and suggest potential solutions in light of large project projections. Provide onboarding to new IT team members. This position requires excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills and the ability to multitask simultaneous efforts.

• Track and assist in the allocation of IT resources in a timely and accurate manner, discussing demand issues with Project Leads, Project Managers, and IT Director(s).

• Recommend process improvements where appropriate and ensure the correct resource management processes are followed

• Conduct impact analysis of requested resource changes and communicate the results to all relevant stakeholders.

• Proactively communicate with IT and Project Management Office to ensure effective resource allocation and issue resolution.

• Monitor project demand to determine where capacity shortages / surpluses may arise in the future and suggest potential solutions, especially in light of large projects coming up.

• Track projections to actuals for the IT department

• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

Three years of resource coordination/resource management, ideally within a corporate/professional environment with project demand and capacity planning experience. A demonstrable track record of successful project intake planning and managing of resources.

Preferred Experience

Experience in health care or managed care. Experience with Project Lifecycles. Experience with ITIL and ITSM.
