As a Sr Strategic Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for scoping and negotiating agency fees and develop (in partnership with law) supporting legal contracts for marketing campaigns and sports partnerships. This role is responsible for benchmarking the organization's best practices against the industry through gap analysis, roadmap development for improvements and building business cases for improvements in the areas of working models and negotiations strategies. As the owner of our external agency and sports partners, you will need to hold partners accountable to delivering their work product, connect work across teams and remove roadblocks that could impact goals and objectives. In this role as Sr. Strategic Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for benchmarking and authoring partner management best practices against the industry through gap analysis, roadmap development for improvements and building business cases for improvements in partner/resource models. As a relationship owner of our external agencies, you will need to hold partners accountable to delivering their work product, connect work across teams and remove roadblocks that could impact the ability to meet goals and objectives. You will be responsible for the curation and relationship management of Target Marketing's roster of partner agencies. To do this you will:
  • Translate Target strategies and business/financial needs into the annual roster planning process, delivering partner roadmaps against short- and long-term strategies.
  • Develop and maintain relevant industry networks as well as networks within Target to ensure we're bringing the best and the brightest partners into Target.
  • Deliver industry leading partner search expertise (including authoring RFPs), through fair and equitable processes.

About you:
  • Four year college degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10 year's experience in account management, agency/marketing management, business affairs and/or agency new business.
  • Strong strategic thinker with experience in synthesizing information and ability to direct multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to influence, inspire, guide, push and drive towards consensus.
  • Strong leadership skills in relationship management (internal/external) and experience leading cross functional teams.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships and negotiate across the organization and with external partners to gain agreement.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively navigate ambiguity.
COMMUNICATION
  • Highly developed, concise, and direct communication with executive leaders, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to facilitate and clarify project expectations, objectives, and deliverables with business partners.
CONTRACTS & RFPs
  • Skilled experience in driving process and authoring clear and concise marketing/agency RFPs.
  • Experience with translating business risk and priorities into equitable and fair partner terms (MSA/NDA/ISA), in partnership with Legal and Business Affairs.
  • Experience in agency staff resource planning and contracts (negotiating contracts, pricing strategies)
This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents $85,400-$153,700.
