GRAPHIC DESIGNER SR.
Work Location: Work from home, in the office or hybrid (in the office 3 or more days per week)

Position Description
This position is responsible for the design and production of print and digital assets from concept to completion for product marketing materials and integrated campaign assets supporting go-to-market advertising and segment specific initiatives. This position is also responsible to provide leadership to the Design Team to ensure that every communication touchpoint articulates UCare's brand look and feel and best practices. Blend tactical, strategic, and management skills to: implement and maintain organizational graphic standards in print, digital, presentations and other channels; develop brand templates in a variety of mediums; ensure consistent application of brand standards internally and with external agencies and business partners; provide technical expertise in the area of graphic design and desktop publishing using current technology; and maintain and organize asset library of photos, iconography, infographics, fonts and other key design elements.
• Responsible for brand oversight and leadership, ensuring the graphics and brand standards are maintained and available, and provide any training or guidance to other members of the Design Team, communications, marketing, and materials staff, or others throughout the organization with responsibility for executing branded items. Maintain UCare's graphic brand standards for print, digital, presentations and other communication materials.
• Monitor what comes in and goes out of department to ensure quality, design, and brand standards and requirements are effectively met. Monitor and support workload to meet stakeholder deadlines. Ensure materials follow and reinforce best practices and the company's graphics standards, brand signature and visual tone, with a high quality, polished, and professional finish.
• Collaborate across organization and with Marketing Matrix Teams and key business owners to promote the visual brand and design of UCare-branded external member, prospect, provider, and media communications for key stakeholders. Foster and build positive, collaborative and responsive relationships with business owners, partners, and team members to ensure excellent internal and external customer service for the work.
• Concept, design and produce a variety of print and digital marketing materials, go-to-market campaign advertising, and email communications to meet marketing strategy objectives and goals.
• Generate ideas to portray concepts and advertise products/services through aesthetic direction combining colors, fonts and layouts within preset brand standards.
• Provide assistance and leadership with selection, preparation, technological support of developing brand templates for forms, letters, brochures, presentations, and development of graphics to fit the medium.
• Direct and execute all aspects of photo shoots on selected projects, and partner with agency on photo and video shoots.
• Partner with external ad agency and creative vendors to ensure brand integrity and continuity.
• Manage asset library of photos, icons, infographics, fonts, design templates and other key design elements.
• Provide expertise regarding multimedia presentations and use of technology to enhance presentations including development and implementation of communication materials to support organizational goals and objectives.
• Support the communications function through continuous improvement of processes to best serve the customer.
• Remain current in graphics industry trends as they relate to the operations of the department, its projects and programs.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor's degree in graphic design or other related field with a portfolio demonstrating strong design skills and technique. Course work in graphic design, digital design, print production, visual arts or a related field, along with an outstanding portfolio.
Required Experience
Ten years of experience designing/creating print and digital materials, including production. Five years staff management or lead designer experience. Ability to implement usability principles, accessibility, 508 requirements to create accessible PDFs. Proficiency in digital, including banner ads and social media graphics, HTML for email development and applied experience in CSS for web design. Microsoft PowerPoint for presentations and branding templates. Strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven Mac + PC environment. Should be a process-oriented, self-starter that stays up to date with new techniques and trends through research and education. Knowledge of design processes, ability to design within brand guidelines and should be proficient in software applications such as Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Experience
Experience in and understanding of health care industry and managed care.
Basic animation skills (Adobe AfterEffects).
