St. Catherine University and our Enrollment Division invite applications for a newly created Director of Continuing Education position.

St. Catherine University has strong certificate and associate degree options in our healthcare programs and we are building upon that foundation to shift more fully into the Continuing Education market. Continuing Education delivers education and training to working adults who are seeking to grow their career marketability and to those who have not had the chance to access higher education. The Director of Continuing Education has an opportunity to identify market needs and transform those into learning programs that elevate individual career potential. This Director will lead the creation, launch, and ongoing delivery of quality, market-aligned programs for individual learners and client organizations to generate positive financial results. Responsibilities are to:

  • Build successful relationships with corporate, health care, non-profit, and government leaders to position St. Catherine University as the hub to serve workforce development and training in select fields.
  • Lead the implementation of entrepreneurial noncredit programs to provide training to meet the needs within the corporate, health care, government and non-profit sectors. This may include micro-credentialing, certifications and trainings.
  • Identify and cultivate clients for contract learning opportunities to support revenue objectives.
  • Implement offerings to generate near-term and ongoing revenue streams for the university.
  • Cultivate opportunities with technology firms, venture funding groups and non-governmental agencies to drive St. Catherine's growth in this market sector.
  • Conduct market analysis to guide program pricing and fees along with operational and instructional expenses to support financial objectives of the unit.
  • Create and implement a business development pipeline strategy to achieve revenue goals.
  • Support, with non-degree offerings, a vertical academic strategy for degree program growth.
  • Initiate collaborations with academic affairs, deans, faculty and enrollment to design a broad array of offerings that serve the adult learner in a variety of delivery formats.
  • Partner with enrollment, finance, human resources, information technology, marketing, the registrar and other University units to support continuing education delivery and operations.
  • Establish policies and standard operating procedures for unit operations and adult learner initiatives that are consistent with the university's academic and strategic enrollment plans.
  • Ensure the overall fiscal health of the operation and achieve the profitability targets of individual program and unit offerings.
  • Forecast, monitor, and review revenue and expenses to meet revenue targets.
  • Prioritize opportunities and partnerships that achieve program goals.

Given the way campus life inherently puts people in close proximity to each other, including residence and dining halls, classrooms, and gatherings, the University has determined that a vaccination requirement is the best way to keep our community safe and prevent potential outbreaks as we return to more regular, in-person operations. St. Catherine University is requiring all students, faculty (including adjuncts contracted for the fall semester and beyond), staff, and residents age 12 and older to complete their COVID -19 vaccination series, including a booster, unless the University approves a medical or religious accommodation or other accommodation/exemption as required by applicable law. New employees must submit vaccination documentation or be approved for an exemption/accommodation before beginning work. For more information, visit stkate.edu/coronavirus-info/vaccine .
