MBE OPERATIONS SUPPORT ANALYST

Work Location: Hybrid, Standard and Work From Home

Position Description

This position is responsible to support and improve daily business processes and systems of the Membership Billing and Enrollment department. Responsible for the development, maintenance, and improvement of department policies, procedures and systems. Responsible for the identification of process improvement opportunities and participation on the implementation of improvement initiatives.

• Develop and maintain department policies and procedures consistent with the goals and objectives of the organization. Partner with department resources to supplement policies and procedures with work instructions including functional and process level instruction and illustration. Communicate changes in policies and procedures to team and management in a timely manner.

• Coordinate the review of MBE policies and procedures. Collaborate with leaders to implement policies and procedures. Partner with department resources to develop training as appropriate for staff on new or revised policies and procedures.

• Understand state and federal rules and regulations, member contracts (evidence of coverage), provider contracts, UCare policies and procedures and know how they impact the business and update policies and procedures based on this information.

• Collaborate with MBE Process Improvement Analyst and Operations Support Analyst - Senior to develop improvement recommendations to bring to MBE leadership for consideration.

• Actively participate in improvement plans; work with internal and external resources to successfully implement enhancements, updated operational workflows and new products.

• Maintain the internal MBE ticketing system housed on SharePoint, assign tickets and track completion status. Provide reporting on ticketing trends including ticket reasons, ticket completing time and ticket inventory numbers.

• Develop and maintain enrollment and billing related DocuSign templates.

• Provide high-level backup support for MBE Operations Support Analyst - Senior on outstanding tickets/issues.

• Development and maintenance of departmental metric dashboards and improvement initiative scorecards.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in business or related field. Demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Required Experience

Two years' experience in a health plan or managed care environment. General understanding of regulatory requirements for Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial products. Experience in identifying process improvement opportunities and participation on process improvement teams.

Preferred Experience

Experience managing ticketing systems.

Experience developing and maintaining dashboards/scorecards.

SharePoint and Teams set-up, policy and procedure documentation and routing/approval system.
