A role within Properties Strategy & Operations means being a part of the team that is driving strategy and operational best practice across all Properties teams. As a Sr Systems Analyst, you will provide expertise and support necessary to create world class procurement processes and experiences for end users across systems. You will proactively identify key trends and root causes of issues using data and context to maintain an excellent user experience and lead the team through refining practices to address any deficiencies. You will drive continuous improvement by understanding system best practices, analyzing current usage, and evaluating new ideas against strategic priorities and company directives. We'll support you along the way with robust onboarding, as well as personal and career development, to help you grow as a strong analyst. Core responsibilities of this job are as follows, knowing these duties may change at any time in the event of evolving business needs.
  • Provide functional and master data support for procurement end users
  • Continuously learn and demonstrate proficiency in Ariba configuration and platform best practices
  • Work alongside the technical product team in an Agile environment
  • Independently lead interactions with relevant partners to identify, design and configure new procurement experiences (functionality and process)
  • Maintain and develop expertise in SAP Ariba/SAP ECC environment and use it to support integrations, resolve issues, recommend and develop creative solutions that enhance business value
  • Participate in regular vendor (Ariba) collaboration on functional support escalations, existing road map, and prioritizing/designing future functionality
  • Utilize metrics, trends and root cause analysis to anticipate impacts to the user experience


This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $52,200 to $94,000.00 Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Target cares about and invests in you as a team member, so that you can take care of yourself and your family. About you:
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Two to five years of related experience supporting core procurement systems (i.e. SAP Ariba, SAP)
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in systems management (master data management, configuration, workflow development)
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong system skills and technical aptitude/interest
  • Ability to facilitate evaluation of new features between business and technology teams
  • Track record of prioritized, timely and high-quality technical delivery
