JOB POSITION: Lead Operations Research
LOCATION: 7000 Target Parkway North, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445
DUTIES: Applying data transformation and data mining concepts to create effective planning routines using historical trends (15%). Working on BigData platforms to clean and extract data, and build scalable models and automated reporting routines using open-source programming language (R/Python) (14%). Apply Statistics, Machine Learing, and Optimization techniques to solve complex problems by providing creative and data-dependent solutions (14%). Gather external benchmarks by gleaning retail industry reports, and market trends to provide a holistic data informed story (10%). Analyze operational constraints from business owners, perform root cause analysis, and develop recommendations for business process improvement (13%). Work in a cross-functioning environment to define, discover and develop a solutioning framework by identifying key operational and financial target metrics (15%). Using Supply Chain concepts and insightful data analysis provide end-to-end outcome to influence decision making with senior leadership. (12%). Other data analysis and solution duties, as assigned (7%). Tools and technologies: SQL, No SQL, R, Python, HTML, JavaScript, MATLAB, VBA Macro, Linux, applied algorithms. Position includes a telecommute benefit within commuting distance to Minneapolis-area Target office, as directed.
REQUIREMENTS: At least a Master's degree in Information Systems Management, Data Science, or a closely related field and at least two (2) years of experience in data analytics (any title), including leading data analytics projects and delegating responsibilities; conducting analysis big data using big data platforms/SQL to address supply chain business issues; creating bigdata platforms, scalable models, and automated reporting routines; providing recommendations to leaders / stakeholders; and utilizing SQL, NoSQL, R, Python, HTML, JavaScript, MATLAB, VBA Macro, and Linux. Position includes a telecommute benefit within commuting distance to Minneapolis-area Target office, as directed.
