As Director of Inventory Analysis you will lead a team responsible for ensuring the accuracy of Target's merchandise inventory. You'll set strategic direction for analyzing and researching transactions, systems, and processes impacting unit and financial inventory integrity, and you'll collaborate with partners across the entire organization to influence strategic initiatives and decisions on inventory-related matters. With your Finance and enterprise knowledge, you will serve as a reliable, credible, and trusted business partner for all stakeholders, and you will drive visibility and alignment in decision-making by providing meaningful data and business insights. In this role you will leverage your understanding of inventory technology and processes to glean insights from inventory data, and you'll leverage your story-telling skills to influence how these insights can be used to improve processes and increase reliability of key data. You'll influence partners across the organization in the development, testing and integration of new retail technologies and related financial controls.

About you:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience - preferably in Finance, Accounting, or another Business related area.
  • Working knowledge of retail industry
  • Minimum of 10 years business experience, preferably with some in data analytics and/or operations
  • Strong analytical skills and broad business acumen, including technology acumen
  • Strong ability to interpret data, understand its relationship with systems and processes, and extract insights from it
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence effectively across multiple areas and multiple levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coach a team of partners, peers, and direct reports
  • Ability to manage multiple/changing priorities
